Five for Friday

Linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five for Friday!

Yesterday something beautiful happened! (Any guesses?!) My blog redesign was installed! I am so happy with it! I've wanted to have my blog professionally designed for over a year now (with a pervious blog). But with Vegas in my future, I decided to make that dream a reality!

Last Friday I stayed at school to organize some NEVER organized spots in my classroom. This was one of the results. We call this guy R2D2-and he's always a mess! So I organized all the cords and now each iPad has a spot! It's great to be able to lock them up and let them charge at the same time. :)

I am redoing my library! Here's a picture of what I was doing:
But then I came up with a better solution to label my books without a million stickers! I will do a full post on this when I finish! Basically I have all the information I want my kids to have about the book on ONE label. YES! ONE! Genius. I've been using three stickers, so this felt like a major win! I made these sweet buggy labels for the book bins.

VEGAS! I know this is old news, but my house is a BUZZ with talk of Vegas. Even my husband rushed to check something off of my "Make Vegas Happen" checklist. I'm so excited to be going because last year I was dreaming of going "someday." Well sweet friends, someday is today! (Actually July 9th!) It's amazing how, in the last 6ish months my dreams have changed from being a true dream, to being a goal. Hard work y'all-it's worth it. :)

We had a four day week with our kiddos. Our State test practice run is next Monday and Tuesday-say a prayer for us.

What have you been up to this week?

Do you see that?

Do you?! The red, pink and glitter is everywhere! Love is in the air y'all! This will be my first Valentine's Day as a married woman and I am thrilled! My kids have been wedding obsessed since they first met me and learned I was getting married. (Seriously y'all, they play "Wedding" with our reading buddies during indoor recess.)

I want my students to feel the love too! I also want my students to be engaged during math stations and independent work. I have two new products to do just that!
February math printables: 30 pages that are ready to go!
Valentine Word Problems (multiplication and division) & Area Task Cards: Get your kiddos moving around the room with these two sets of12 task cards! Hang them around the room so your students can work off those wiggles (and all the sugar highs)!

What are you doing to celebrate the love in your life this year? I love getting to do sweet things for friends and family this time of year! Flowers for the bestie or Sprinkles cupcakes (aka heaven) for my mom, there are so many ways show those around you that you care!

My New Obsession

Holy cow y'all! My sweet hubby gave me a Silhouette Portrait for Christmas and I am IN LOVE. Everything I've ever dreamed of making is now a reality. I'm really loving it! I wanted to share a couple things I've made so far.
So clearly I made this after Christmas, but better late than never...right?! Inside of this ornament (from hobby lobby) are flowers from my bouquet. I got married in October and knew I wanted to save at least one rose and hydrangea for this! I really love how this turned out!
The second project I've finished is this sign for our bedroom.
This picture is in my craft room, this sign is not meant for a coral wall. ;)
I used the same stain that we used for our headboard, so it'll coordinate well. This was SO easy! The wood and chevron canvas are from Hobby Lobby.
I really wish that I had waited until I had the fabric blade for cutting the canvas because it KILLED my regular blade. I had to make another (story of my life) trip today to get a replacement blade.

So if you're one of those people who constantly thinks, "I could do that!" The Silhouette would be perfect for you! It's making all my crafty dreams come true! :)

Happy 2015!

Are You Crazy for Canines?

My students sure are! They are madly obsessed with my dog Molly. Well friends, it's time to take advantage of the dog obsessions in my classroom! After winter break, my students will be practicing their multiplication fluency with these dog themed multiplication games.

The best news is that your students can enjoy them too! I just posted these in my TPT store, and they will be on sale through Saturday. :)
